De Audiokrant provides unlimited access to the audio files of seven Flemish newspapers which are read out loud daily to subscribers. Text read-along version is also available.

Main Features: 

• The newspaper that is read is on the same day that the paper newspaper appears.
• The voice is a synthetic speech.
• One newspaper subscription gives access to all Flemish newspapers. Unlimited access to the audio version of De Standaard, Het Nieuwsblad, Gazet van Antwerpen, Het Belang van Limburg, Het Laatste Nieuws, De Morgen and De Tijd.
• Able to browse titles to select which articles are to be read out loud.
• Several ways to listen:
  • on a smartphone or tablet (via the Anderslezen app).
  • on a computer via DAISY playback software.
  • with a DAISY player.
  • with the Webbox.
  • on TV (via the GuideReader-Pod).

• Apps for audio files:
  • Anderslezen (De Audiokrant for iOS)(link is external).

• There is also an option for a smaller in size version using the Digikrant text files:
  • It contains no sound files and is therefore much smaller in terms of file size.
  • Suitable for e-mail.
  • A ZIP file is extracted and converted to audio with the hardware of choice.
  • Identical in content to the Audio newspaper.
  • App for the lite HTML file management tool for the Digikrant:
